Ripplevale House
2026
RESIDENTIAL | ISLINGTON, LONDON
Full refurbishment and reconfiguration of an end-of-terrace Georgian house within the Barnsbury Conservation Area in Islington, London. The project involved a comprehensive transformation of the existing property, including the removal of the original outrigger and the creation of a new double-height, light-filled kitchen, overlooked by a reception room and library space above.
A new bedroom and utility room were introduced at lower ground floor level, while a dedicated office was accommodated within the rebuilt outrigger. The first floor was reconfigured to form a generous principal suite with a separate bathroom.
Externally, the new ground floor extension is clad in porphyry stone panels, giving the addition a strong sense of permanence and connection to the site. Full-height glazing disappears into a central spine wall, creating a seamless relationship between the interior and garden.
