RESIDENTIAL | HAMPSTEAD, UK
Set within the heart of Hampstead, the project is a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse reimagined for modern family life. Working alongside the client and interior designer Georgia Mann, Sonn Studio led the architectural design and developed a comprehensive bespoke joinery package, carefully balancing the building's historic character with a calm, contemporary way of living.
Rather than altering the fabric of the house, the project focuses on elevating the everyday. The interiors have been meticulously reworked through a full refurbishment, including a new family bathroom, a dedicated laundry room with integrated drying cupboards and concealed appliances, and a refined kitchen enhanced with bespoke cabinetry that improves both usability and flow.
At the centre of the project is a carefully considered joinery strategy, designed by soon and built in collaboration with Pangolin Joinery. Storage is seamlessly integrated into the architecture, with concealed cabinetry, display shelving and multifunctional furniture transforming overlooked spaces into purposeful moments. Every detail has been designed to reduce visual clutter, creating interiors that feel effortless, generous and quietly luxurious.
The result is a home that celebrates the understated elegance of its Georgian origins while embracing the realities of contemporary family living. Timeless materials, thoughtful craftsmanship and intelligent design come together to create spaces that feel warm, tactile and instinctively liveable.
